In an attempt to make things easier for you at convention time, we have included Photo Contest rules & forms here, so that you can download them all year long. No need to wait for the last minute, fill them out & take pictures as the year goes on and the projects are completed.

Categories are: 1. Light Commercial Awnings
2. Heavy Commercial Awnings
3. Residential Awnings
4. Interior Awnings
5. Specialty Awning - Including tension structures and shade sails.
6. Specialty Canvas Misc. - includes projects that dont fit in #5 and #7.
7. Speciality Canvas Marine - Includes marine projects that dont fit any other category.
8. Marine Hard Enclosure - With acrylic, polycarbonate, lexan etc.
9. Marine Soft Enclosure - with 20/20, Strataglass Seaflex, etc.
10. Marine Exteriors - tops, covers. sprayhoods, any exterior project that is not an enclosure or where visibility is not paramount.
Rules: * Entries of photos in each category must be for original work, completed by the company entering the project and finished between September of the previous year and this years convention.
* Entries must be turned into the registration desk or the Board Member Photo contest Chairman by 10:00 a.m.. on Friday.
* Only Zone 4 members in good standing may enter. They may enter each category with a maximum of 2 entries.
* All entries will be displayed throughout the convention. We encourage everyone to have a look and see what all of us have been up to this year.
* Awards will be presented for Award of Excellence and Outstanding Achievement in each category at the Awards Banquet Saturday Night. This is always a highlight of the convention. Entries can be picked up following the banquet.
* A special cash prize will be awarded to one entry from a member that has not submitted an entry in the past 3 years.
Entry guidelines: Each entry must have an entry form completed for it and be correctly labeled front and back with the necessary information when turned in at registration. If you do not have enough entry forms please make copies or down load more from the website. You must use the form provided.
IMPORTANT; Photo entries may have one 8 X 10 photo plus one 5 X 7 if needed, or three 5 X 7 photos. They should be displayed on a board no larger than 15 by 20. These entry rules will be strictly enforced in order to be fair to all entrants. The Judges will have the final decision as the category each entry will be in.
Judging criteria are based on those used at IFAI and include workmanship, functionality, design, complexity and uniqueness. Judges will be chosen by Zone president and Photo contest Chairman and will be industry pros not entered in this contest or in the category judged. Judging will take place before noon on Sat. New last year......all entries will be mounted to the display boards by pressure sensitive hook fastener. This will insure entries can be mounted quickly for all to enjoy. Please insure that your photos have the proper entry forms displayed front and back and have hook velcro attached as mounting points on the back of entries.
